It was July of the hottest summer we had in North Carolina in decades. I had gotten back into my car that was sitting in a parking lot for a few hours. The temperature in the car must have been 110 degrees. As I was situating myself. All of a sudden, I broke out into a sweat like I’d never experienced before. Yes, I’d had hot “flushes” periodically for a couple years but they were nothing like this. Sweat was dripping down my face, my back, my front, my underarms, it seemed to be coming from everywhere. That was the beginning of my menopausal misery! 

For months I had these sweats on a regular basis, many times a day. It seemed never ending at times. Add to that, insomnia, night sweats, fatigue, irritability memory loss painful intercourse, vaginal dryness, low libido and weight gain. Yup, I had the whole package. My horrible hormones were destroying my enjoyment of life, and to mention my relationship! 

The problem was, I didn’t know what to do about it. Being an all-natural kind of girl, I didn’t want HRT or BHT, but I didn’t know what else was out there. I was told I just had to live with it.
